As adults we accept the fact that we are going to have good days and bad days. And on those bad days we are not surprised if we feel a little under the weather. In fact, some of us seem to have a lot of those days and we simply accept them as part of life.

How did we get to that point? Its very likely that several visits were made to the doctor with the same or similar complaints and we were never properly diagnosed. Or worse yet, we were made to feel as though we were wasting the doctors time because, of course, everyone has aches and pains from time to time.

But the fact is that not everyone suffers with the following symptoms on a regular or semi-regular basis:

·           Abdominal cramps and or spasms

·           Headaches, mild to severe, including migraines

·           Occasional to frequent fatigue

·           Skin rashes, eczema

·           Nausea

·           Dizziness

·           Runny nose, watery eyes

·           Flatulence

·           Occasion or frequent diarrhea

·           Exhaustion

·           Chills

·           Occasional or frequent constipation

The severity and frequency of the symptoms can vary greatly from individual to individual, as well as from one occurrence to another. Admittedly, any of the above symptoms can be related to a number of problems including eating something that did not agree with us. But perhaps because the cause is so simple it is often overlooked or completed dismissed.

The fact is that if food allergies and food poisoning is ruled out as the cause of the above symptoms then food may not be explored any further as being the culprit. Many people exhibit one or more of those reactions to foods that they do not tolerate well.

Foods that are high in histamine are difficult for some people to process. Foods in this group include fish, processed meats, tomatoes, citrus fruits, wines, beer, cheeses, and others. The bodys digestive enzyme called Diamine Oxidase (DAO) regulates histamine levels. But in some cases DAO is not able to keep up with the histamine that is being ingested, and when that happens the body reacts with the symptoms listed.

The good news is that advances have been made and science understands more about how DAO works. Supplements that supply the body with the needed extra boost to regulate histamine levels are now readily available.

Sandy Fuller is a freelance writer that studies and writes about health topics. During research for digestive enzymes Ms. Fuller realized she suffered with many of the typical Food Intolerance Symptoms. As she dug deeper into her research she learned that Diamine Oxidase supplements can help persons suffering with a Food Sensitivity. And after a quick online search Ms. Fuller found just what she needed, a product that is made to regulate histamine in the body.
